These aren't barstools. They're Western heirlooms built to outlive you.
Handmade in Vail, Arizona by Weld Weld West, each stool is individually fabricated and built around a fully welded structural steel frame engineered for decades of use. Substantial forged steel, meticulous craftsmanship, and premium natural materials come together to create furniture designed to be handed down rather than thrown away.
Every piece is built one at a time. There are no assembly lines, imported frames, or flat-pack shortcuts. Each stool is carefully fabricated, welded, upholstered, and finished by hand, ensuring that no two are exactly alike.

Custom Commissions Available
Love the design but need a different size or finish? We also build custom pieces for luxury homes, ranches, lodges, restaurants, and commercial spaces.
Custom options include:
• Heights: Built to your exact counter, bar, or high-top specifications.
• Finishes: Natural raw steel with authentic TIG-welded heat bluing, or custom protective coatings.
• Seating Materials: Premium cowhide colors and patterns, as well as a selection of high-end leathers.
• Dimensions: Custom seat diameters and base footprints tailored to your project.
The Steelwork
• Fully Welded Structural Frame: The load-bearing steel structure is fabricated and welded into a rigid one-piece assembly, eliminating the looseness and movement common in mass-produced furniture.
• Forged Steel Character: Built around substantial forged steel elements featuring rosette accents, hammered textures, and flowing feathered scrollwork.
• Natural Finish: Left raw to showcase the distinctive heat bluing created during our TIG welding process, giving every stool its own unique character.
The Seating
• Heavy-Duty Core: Built around a robust 13" structural plywood core (23/32") designed for long-term durability.
• Premium Upholstery: Wrapped in thick, natural brindle hair-on cowhide, bringing the finished seat diameter to approximately 13.5".
• Serviceable Construction: The seat assembly is mechanically fastened to the welded frame, allowing proper long-term maintenance while preserving structural integrity.
• Finished Underside: The underside is completed in rich burnished hair-cell pigskin and individually hand-tacked. No inexpensive black fabric dust covers ever touch our furniture.
Why These Cost More
Mass-produced bar stools are often built from thin tubing, lightweight components, imported upholstery, and production-line methods intended to minimize cost.
These stools are individually fabricated, fully welded, upholstered with genuine hair-on cowhide, and finished with hand-tacked pigskin underneath. They are built for homes where craftsmanship matters and intended to become family heirlooms rather than disposable furniture.
